It'...Ha...I know that "glow" of the brand-new shoe. It's even worse when juxtaposed against the black of a pair of pants. When I was out the other day and people went by I just wanted to yell, "I'm a seasoned distance runner! Really! My shoes are new! I've taken them out on trails, during rain, slush, everything (including last Tuesday)- and they still look relatively new.
