Nothing wrong with showing off your pics. A half-marathon is an accomplishment you should be proud of and official race pics really are expensive!
I'm glad you had a good time at the race. That's really what it's all about. Just get out there and enjoy the challenge!
I would agree that it is a rip off. I had way more fun and thought I took better pictures myself as I cruised the route!
You look awesome. I don't think you're going overboard. A half marathon is a HUGE deal. You should be really really proud of yourself.
