R.I.C.E., Redneck Style

I've got a bag of ice tied snugly to my lower leg with an old dishcloth, and my foot is propped up on my overturned wastebasket underneath my desk. Now, if I was wearing my #48 Jimmie Johnson hat I'd be all set...

Update as of 2:30 pm: Ice application has rendered ankle region completely numb. Feels great now!

Well, this is the time to be resting, icing, compressing and elevating those painful parts. You'll be OK.

Just make sure you hold onto all yer teef.

Be careful not to ice for too long! I have been doing R.I.C.E. a lot lately and some sights say you can give yourself frostbite if you aren't careful.

At least you don't prop your foot up on your desk like I do. Hope the icing is doing its job.

You're going to be just fine for this weekend. Because I say you will.

In case you don't post again before Sunday, good luck and stay healthy! I have been amazed and awed by reading about your progression from a runner in my general pace range, to the super speedy star you are today!
