It's all Relative

I'm watching "The Office" (one of my favorite shows) as we speak. This dialogue was just uttered:

Jim: "I didn't tell Michael because...I thought he'd try to help. Example: he handed out Jello shots at the 23rd mile of the Steamtown Marathon."

He said that as if it were a bad thing...all I know is, one of my favorite memories of last year's Detroit Marathon was tossing back that shot of warm beer at mile 24.

Five weeks to NYC, folks.

I was Inebriated during the new years eve midnight run last year and it kinda sucked. Since then, I won't be more than 'tipsy' for a race.

Man - they should have comely models (male and female) that runners can do body shots off of at mile 24 of every marathon.

I might be tempted to do one then.

Good luck training for NYC!

I'm running Steamtown this year, and I bought the shirt from the 5K run that they do on the show. I plan to wear it for the marathon. I can only hope someone gives me a jello shot at mile 23!

The Michael Scott's Dunder-Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Pro-Am Fun Run Race for the Cure!! YEAH!!

I bet, now that the line "handed out jello shots at mile 23 of the marathon" has been uttered, SOMEONE is going to put up a table at mile 23 and do just that. Which would be so unspeakably awesome.

Give me two weeks and I'll report back. At the very least, if there are no Jello shots, I will yell at whoever's at mile 23 for not having them.
