I Feel Like A Rabbit

Over the coming week I have to eat all of this:

This is one week's worth of vegetables from my CSA farm share. It's actually quite fabulous.

In other news, after undergoing the strength drill workout from heck last night as part of marathon training class, my quads and butt are scuh-REAMING in pain today. I thought I was in shape! HA!

my new farm box is coming tomorrow - or I guess so late Thursday night it's like getting it Friday morning. I feel like a loser but I opted for the "mostly fruit" box so I won't be eating as many veggies are you - but it just sounded more like what I'd what to eat right now. I can always change it back if I want to I guess.
Good luck with all your veggies. Makes me crave radishes.

HOw early do you sign up for your farm shares? I can't seem to find any that aren't full already.

God that looks delish. Happy training!

That's some good eating. No little chocolate donuts? They've been on my training table for years.

BTW, that is a most excellent 5k and PR! Congratulations. An age group win to boot!

How early do you sign up for your farm shares?

I contacted the farm in December last year, received enrollment information in January, sent it and my deposit in February, and paid up at the end of April. So it's really an "early bird gets the worm" situation, at least for the farm I joined. Last year I waited too long and missed out so this season I really wanted to be on top of things.

The farmers markets are starting to get going again around here. I'm ready for some fresh and locally grown crops.

Mmm, that looks delicious! I'm settling for farmer's markets since I'm not home enough to sign up for a full CSA. But it looks so fun to get the fruits/veggies and "have" to eat them!

Um...I had an awesome steak last night, medium rare, slightly charred on the edges. I mopped the juices off the plate with fresh baked bread.

But the veggie pic looks good too ;-)
